Olmos Wind
Olmos Wind is the most advanced asset in the ZFC portfolio: a wind project of approximately 135 MW in Olmos, Lambayeque, on Peru's northern coast, with battery storage integrated into the project design and Ready-to-Build targeted for the first quarter of 2028.

Where it sits
The project is located in Olmos, in the department of Lambayeque, on the northern Peruvian coast. This is the same coastal wind corridor that anchors the early-stage Frontera project, and the reason both assets sit there is straightforward: the coastal wind profile in this part of Peru is among the more consistent resources available in the country.
Consistency matters more than peak speed for a generation asset. A resource that delivers predictable output across the year supports a more bankable production estimate, and a more bankable production estimate is what ultimately determines whether a project reaches financial close on reasonable terms.
Why storage is part of the design
Olmos Wind carries integrated battery energy storage (BESS) rather than treating storage as a later retrofit. The distinction is not cosmetic. Wind generation is variable by nature, and a pure merchant wind asset earns whatever the market pays at the moment the wind blows, which is frequently the moment when every other wind asset in the same corridor is also generating.
Storage decouples the moment of generation from the moment of delivery. It allows an asset to shift output into higher-value hours, to offer firmer delivery profiles to offtakers, and to participate in grid services that a variable resource alone cannot address. Designing for it from the outset, rather than bolting it on, affects layout, interconnection sizing and permitting in ways that are difficult and expensive to retrofit later.
What Ready-to-Build means here
Ready-to-Build (RtB) is the milestone at which a development asset has secured what it needs to start construction: land rights, environmental and sectoral permitting, grid connection, and a technical design mature enough to be contracted. It is the point at which a project stops being a development risk and becomes a construction and operating asset.
Olmos Wind targets RtB in the first quarter of 2028. Within the ZFC roadmap this is the first asset scheduled to reach that milestone, with the wider portfolio targeting full commercial operation across the platform by 2030.
How ZFC develops it
Development sits with ZFC Energy Group, the group's renewable generation and storage platform. Construction and operating capability sits with Fitcon Energy, the industrial services, EPC and O&M platform. Holding both inside the same group is deliberate: it means development decisions are made by people who will also have to build and operate the result.
ZFC operates as a long-term owner with permanent capital and no fixed exit horizon, the appropriate posture for assets whose useful life is measured in decades.
